The Mix Marketing presents... The Building Oscars

Following on the success of the West Yorkshire Built in Quality Awards, the team at the Mix were appointed by South Yorkshire and Humber to aid them with the promotion and preparation of their own, first, annual awards event.

The events team at the Mix planned and executed the event from the initial design stage all the way through to the analysis and feedback point, with full project management throughout.

The process started with venue and sponsorship finding, design of literature, promotional leaflets and public relations.

As a new means of attracting sponsors, creating awareness and publicising the event, The Mix suggested creating a website that could be used for advertising and a way for potential nominees to submit their projects for judging. This bright six page website included all relevant information about the event, category and judging information, sponsors details and links, full colour photography of the 2007 awards and an online application form.

The client then required tickets, presentation banner, PowerPoint presentation and speech writing, certificates, event programmes and external venue signage, which were all designed and produced by the Mix.

Client, supplier, venue and sponsor liaison was required throughout and certainly helped with the smooth running of this hugely successful event. Full support on the evening and photography were also supplied by the Mix, as well as post event public relations and guest feedback.

With the help of the Mix Marketing, the awards recognised superb construction and design projects such as the Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster, Meadowhall Centre in Sheffield, St Stevens Shopping & Leisure Complex, Hull, Barnsley Transport Interchange and the Advanced Manufacturing & Research Centre in Rotherham,
